5th day Thessaloniki – Veria – Vergina - Volos
Your day begins with a drive from Thessaloniki to Veria, a city steeped in both ancient and Christian history. Wander through its charming old town, with traditional stone houses and picturesque streets, before visiting significant sites such as the Byzantine Museum and the Bema of Saint Paul, where the Apostle Paul preached to the people of Veria.
Next, head to Vergina, the ancient city and royal burial site of the Macedonian dynasty, where you’ll explore the Royal Tombs of Vergina—including the tomb of King Philip II, the father of Alexander the Great.
