It remains a spectacular engineering feat and a popular photo stop for travelers passing by. We then reach Nemea, often referred to as the “Bordeaux of Greece” due to its world-class red wines. The star of the region is Agiorgitiko, a versatile grape that produces wines ranging from bright and fruity to deep, complex, and age-worthy. Beyond its rich wine heritage, Nemea is steeped in history, linked to the myth of Hercules and the Nemean Lion.

You will have the chance to visit and enjoy winetasting at two of the most significant and iconic wineries in the area, where you will learn about the Nemea’s unique terroir and climate, which makes their wines famous worldwide.

Nestled in the heart of the Peloponnese, Mantinia is one of Greece’s most celebrated PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) wine regions, famous for its Moschofilero grape. Today’s journey will take you to two local wineries where you can immerse in the unique terroir of Arcadia, combining wine, gastronomy, and cultural heritage.
