Day 1: Arrival in Athens & Welcome Wine Tasting
Your dream tour starts with a warm welcome at Athens Airport and a private comfortable transfer to your centrally located hotel.

Day 2: Attica Wine Region – The Land of Savatiano
Your private driver will pick you up the next day for a visit and winetasting at 2 of Attica’s historic wineries, in the region of Mesogaia known for the Savatiano variety. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of wine in Athens from the antiquity dating back to more than 4.000 ears ago and the unique terroir and microclimate, where the vineyards are located.
You will then head to Cape Sounio one of the most iconic landmarks in Greece. for a visit to the famous Temple of Poseidon, perched on a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea. There you can enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the sea.

Day 3: Nemea Region
Today you will depart from Athens and head to Nemea is one of Greece’s most prestigious PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) wine regions. First stop will be the Canal of Corinth a narrow, man-made waterway that connects the Aegean Sea (Saronic Gulf) with the Ionian Sea (Gulf of Corinth), effectively separating the Peloponnese from mainland Greece. It remains a spectacular engineering feat and a popular photo stop for travelers passing by. We then reach Nemea, often referred to as the “Bordeaux of Greece” due to its world-class red wines. The star of the region is Agiorgitiko, a versatile grape that produces wines ranging from bright and fruity to deep, complex, and age-worthy. Beyond its rich wine heritage, Nemea is steeped in history, linked to the myth of Hercules and the Nemean Lion.
You will have the chance to visit and enjoy winetasting at two of the most significant and iconic wineries in the area, where you will learn about the Nemea’s unique terroir and climate, which makes their wines famous worldwide.
After a short drive you will reach the picturesque town of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. Highlights include the Palamidi Fortress, offering panoramic views of the town and sea, the Bourtzi Fortress on a small island in the harbor, and the charming Syntagma Square with its elegant buildings. Narrow cobblestone streets, vibrant cafes, and the serene waterfront make Nafplio a delightful destination to relax and enjoy a peaceful dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Delphi – Parnassos Mountain
Your day will start with a drive towards Delphi, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Delphi was believed to be the center of the world and home to the legendary Oracle of Apollo. You will have a guided tour to explore the ancient ruins including the Temple of Apollo considered the heart of the sanctuary, where the Oracle delivered prophecies, the Ancient Theater offering panoramic views of the valley below and the Castalian Spring, where ancient pilgrims purified themselves before consulting the Oracle.
You will also visit the Delphi Archaeological Museum, home to iconic artifacts such as the Charioteer of Delphi and the Omphalos (navel stone), symbolizing Delphi’s central position in the ancient world.
The day concludes with a wine tasting experience in Central Greece, a region known for its robust reds and elegant whites, including Xinomavro, Assyrtiko, and Savatiano. You will have the opportunity to visit a beautiful traditional family winery, with passion for wine and its cultivation, with respect to nature and their guests.

Day 5: Meteora - Metsovo
After breakfast, you will travel through mountainous landscapes, charming villages, and lush valleys, enjoying breathtaking views of Greece’s natural beauty. Upon arrival in Meteora, be prepared to witness its iconic rock formations and ancient monasteries perched atop towering cliffs—a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel this breathtaking scenery and discover two of the centuries-old monasteries perched high above the valley. Step inside to admire stunning frescoes, intricate wood carvings, and the serene atmosphere of these spiritual retreats and learn about the monks’ way of life, the monasteries’ rich history, and the region’s unique geology with the help of an expert guide. You will then continue to Metsovo, a charming alpine town known for its rich history, traditional architecture, and vibrant culinary scene. You will visit one of Greece’s legendary wineries, where you can enjoy a guided wine tasting of exceptional local wines, including their renowned reds. Explore the winery’s atmospheric cellars, learn about its winemaking heritage and the history of the area, an experience you will treasure for life.

Day 6: Metsovo - Ioannina
On this day, you will have the opportunity to explore Ioannina, a lakeside city, rich in history and culture. You can discover the Ioannina Castle, Greece’s oldest Byzantine castle, home to fascinating museums and Ottoman-era landmarks.
You will then continue to Zitsa, a hidden gem in northwestern Greece with unique flavors and stunning landscapes. This high-altitude wine region, near Ioannina, is best known for its Debina grape, producing crisp, aromatic white wines and refreshing sparkling varieties. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and limestone hills, Zitsa provides a serene and authentic Greek wine experience off-the-beaten-path, and you will have a chance to visit one of its wineries.
If time allows, visit one of Greece’s most impressive caves, filled with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, called the Perama Cave, before returning to Metsovo, with a scenic drive taking in the beautiful mountain views.

Day 7: Vergina - Naoussa - Thessaloniki
Start your tour after breakfast and enjoy a scenic mountain and valley landscapes along the way towards Vergina, the UNESCO-listed archaeological site, where you can visit the first capital of Ancient Macedonia, Aigai and home to the Tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. Explore the stunning museum, which houses gold artifacts, ancient weapons, and the breathtaking royal burial chambers. Learn about the Greek Macedonian history, the splendor of ancient Greece and its powerful rulers with an expert guide.
Continue to Naoussa, one of the country’s premier wine regions, renowned for producing exceptional Xinomavro wines. Often compared to Nebbiolo, Xinomavro is known for its deep red color, high acidity, and aging potential, making Naousa a paradise for wine lovers. You will conclude your day in Thessaloniki, Greece’s vibrant northern capital in the region of Macedonia, where you can explore the city, savor its famous cuisine or relax by the waterfront. Known for its rich Byzantine, Ottoman, and Roman heritage, the city boasts iconic landmarks such as the White Tower, Rotunda, and Ano Poli’s traditional architecture.

Day 8: Drama - Kavala
Today you will travel east towards Drama, one of Greece’s top wine regions where you will visit one renowned winery, to explore elegant wines made from Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, and international varietals. Enjoy a guided tasting experience in a stunning vineyard setting, at a beautiful winery, with medals and commendations in international competitions.
Continue to the UNESCO-listed Archaeological Site of Philippi, one of the most important ancient cities in Greece. Walk through the well-preserved ruins, including the theater, forum, and early Christian basilicas.
Just outside Philippi, visit the site where Saint Lydia, the first Christian baptized in Europe by the Apostle Paul, was converted. The tranquil riverside location is a spiritual and historical highlight.
Arrive in the beautiful coastal city of Kavala, often called the “Blue City” for its stunning sea views. Stroll through the old town, visit the Imaret and the Aqueduct of Kavala, and enjoy a relaxing walk along the picturesque harbor. You will then return to Thessaloniki.

Day 9: Thessaloniki - Athens
Today you will explore the city of Thessaloniki, with a panoramic tour to see the most important monuments. Start at the iconic White Tower, Thessaloniki’s most famous landmark and pass by Aristotelous Square, the city’s vibrant heart. Continue with the Roman Agora and the Arch of Galerius (Kamara), remnants of Thessaloniki’s rich Roman past and finally the Rotunda, a UNESCO-listed monument with stunning mosaics.
You will then take the road back to Athens, passing by Mount Olympus, stop at Thermopylae, where the famous battle took place and have a lunch stop at Kamena Vourla, a small seaside town with thermal springs known since the antiquity and return to Athens early evening.
