Accommodation in Athens at 4* Hotel

Your tour begins with a visit to the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum, where our licensed guide will help you explore the site.

As you approach the Acropolis, the first thing that strikes you is its sheer grandeur, perched high on a rocky outcrop above the modern city of Athens. The iconic Parthenon — a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena — dominates the site, its ancient marble columns rising majestically against the backdrop of the sky.

The Temple of Athena Nike: A smaller yet exquisite temple that celebrates Athena’s role as the goddess of victory.

The Erechtheion: Famous for its Caryatids, the elegantly draped female statues that support the temple’s porch, adding a sense of grace and mystery.

The Odeon of Herodes Atticus: An ancient theater still used for performances today, its stone seating offering panoramic views of Athens below.

The Acropolis Museum is a modern architectural marvel located at the foot of the Acropolis Hill in Athens, offering a stunning contrast to the ancient monuments above. Designed by the Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi, the museum itself is a work of art, blending contemporary design with the rich history of Ancient Greece.

From there, you will continue your tour towards the Peloponnese, which you will reach by crossing the famous Corinth Canal, which symbolizes the innovative spirit of ancient and modern Greece, offering a glimpse into both the country’s engineering history and its natural beauty. You will have the chance to stop for a short photo stop, before continuing your tour.

Ancient Corinth was a major center of commerce, culture, and politics. It is considered the favourite city of Apostle Paul and one of the most important city states of Ancient Greece.

The Archaeological Museum displays a rich collection of artifacts, while the ruins of Roman buildings, including the Basilica and Forum, reflect Corinth’s later history.

Your day will conclude in the picturesque town of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. Highlights include the Palamidi Fortress, offering panoramic views of the town and sea, the Bourtzi Fortress on a small island in the harbor, and the charming Syntagma Square with its elegant buildings. Narrow cobblestone streets, vibrant cafes, and the serene waterfront make Nafplio a delightful destination for history lovers and travelers seeking a relaxed, scenic escape.

Accommodation in Nafplio at 4* Hotel

Your day begins with a visit to the world-famous Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, which still hosts performances to this day. Epidaurus was a center of healing dedicated to Asclepius, the god of medicine, whose sanctuary ruins still stand on the site, along with a stadium and various temples.

Your next visit is the Ancient Mycenae which was once a powerful kingdom, famously depicted in Homer’s Iliad. Visitors can explore the iconic Lion Gate, the entrance to the citadel, and the impressive Tholos Tombs, including the Tomb of Agamemnon. The site also features the remains of grand palaces, defensive walls, and various artifacts, offering a fascinating glimpse into the ancient world and its legendary rulers. Mycenae’s strategic location and monumental architecture make it a must-see for history enthusiasts.

The tour will continue through the beautiful scenery of the Peloponnese region, so you can end the day in Olympia.

Accomodation in Olympia 4* Hotel

Ancient Olympia is a significant archaeological site in Greece, known as the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Located in the Peloponnese, Olympia was a religious center dedicated to Zeus, featuring the famous Temple of Zeus, which once housed one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—the statue of Zeus by Phidias. Visitors can explore the Ancient Stadium, where the first Olympic Games were held, the Gymnasium, and the ruins of various temples, altars, and training areas. The site offers a fascinating journey through the history of sport, religion, and ancient Greek culture.

The Rion-Antirion Bridge, also known as the Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge, is an impressive feat of modern engineering that connects the Greek mainland to the Peloponnese. Spanning the Gulf of Corinth, it is one of the longest and most stunning cable-stayed bridges in the world. Visitors can marvel at the bridge’s sleek design, with its soaring pylons and suspension cables stretching across the blue waters. It’s not just a vital transportation link but also a remarkable landmark, offering picturesque views of the surrounding coastline and mountains. The bridge is an essential stop for those traveling in the region and a great photo opportunity.

Naupaktos (or Naupaktus) is a charming coastal town located on the northern shore of the Gulf of Corinth, known for its rich history and beautiful scenery. Famous for its medieval castle, which overlooks the town and offers panoramic views of the harbor and surrounding countryside, Naupaktos also boasts a picturesque old town with narrow streets, quaint squares, and traditional architecture. The town’s Venetian port and marina add to its charm, while the nearby beaches provide a relaxing escape. Naupaktos is a perfect blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, making it an inviting destination for visitors and a great spot for a lunch stop.

You will then reach the small town of Delphi for overnight.

Accommodation in Delphi at 4* Hotel

Ancient Delphi is one of Greece’s most iconic archaeological sites, renowned as the center of the ancient world, known as the Omphalos or “navel” of the Earth. Set on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi was once home to the famous Oracle of Delphi, where the priestess Pythia delivered prophecies in the Temple of Apollo. Visitors can explore the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the Ancient Theater, and the Stadium, which once hosted the Pythian Games. The site offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valley and mountains, creating a powerful sense of ancient mysticism. The Archaeological Museum nearby houses remarkable artifacts, including the Charioteer of Delphi, one of the finest ancient Greek statues. Delphi is a must-visit for those interested in history, mythology, and stunning landscapes.

The journey from Delphi to Meteora takes travelers through some of central Greece’s most scenic landscapes, blending rich history and natural beauty. The drive offers a chance to experience the region’s rolling hills, charming villages, and majestic mountain ranges.

Accommodation in Kalambaka at 4* Hotel

Meteora is a UNESCO World Heritage site in central Greece, famous for its striking rock formations and the monasteries that sit atop them. Rising nearly 400 meters high, these towering sandstone cliffs have been home to monks since the 14th century, who built monasteries on their summits to seek solitude and spiritual enlightenment. Today, six of the monasteries remain active, offering visitors a unique glimpse into monastic life, incredible architecture, and breathtaking views. Meteora is a must-see for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, and those seeking a peaceful, otherworldly experience amidst stunning landscapes.

You will then take your way back to Athens with a stop at Thermopylae s historic site in central Greece, famous for the epic Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BCE, where King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans made a heroic stand against the vast Persian army of King Xerxes. The site offers a combination of history, natural beauty, and a sense of awe as you stand in the footsteps of one of the most legendary military confrontations in history.
