Our journey begins with a scenic drive inland through Naxos’ ancient olive groves—home to trees that are over 800 years old. Along the way, we’ll delve into the island’s culinary traditions and unique flavors.

Our first stop is the hidden gem of Kaloxylos, a tiny, untouched village where time seems to have paused. Stroll along charming alleyways to reach a 100-year-old olive press, where you’ll explore centuries-old traditions, taste locally produced olive oil products, and learn about traditional pressing methods.

As locals do, relax outdoors with a glass of Naxian wine and a selection of “farm-to-table” appetizers, including our renowned Naxian cheeses. We’ll then continue on foot through the peaceful countryside, walking among olive groves and discussing the cultural and historical significance of the olive tree on the island as well as modern harvesting techniques and the health benefits of our “liquid gold.”

Our nature walk leads us to the picturesque village of Chalki, once the island’s capital. Here, you’ll enjoy a traditional Mediterranean lunch prepared with love, accompanied by more local wine and a delicious homemade dessert, galaktoboureko. We’ll finish our experience with a visit to a 120-year-old family-run distillery, where you can taste our local digestive liqueur.
